THE STORY

Sydney and Jim first connected through friends, and early on spent time together in a very natural, social way that quickly turned into something more. Their first official date was at City Tap House in Philadelphia, where an easy conversation and shared laughter set the tone for what followed. In those early days, busy schedules often meant making the most of simple moments together, which became the foundation of their relationship.

Years later, Jim planned a surprise proposal during a weekend in Maine at Cliff House while they were there with their dog. Sydney had no idea it was coming and was completely surprised in a moment that felt emotional, personal, and unforgettable.

THE VISION

The couple’s biggest excitement was bringing all of their friends and family together in one place, creating space for their friend groups to mingle and for both families to connect in a meaningful way. French’s Point felt like the perfect setting for this, offering a relaxed, extended weekend experience where everyone could truly settle in and enjoy time together.

They wanted guests to remember how fun and easy the entire experience felt, especially given how far many were traveling to attend. More than anything, they hoped people would leave with a lasting sense of joy from the weekend, shaped by simple, shared moments. Their dogs were also part of the celebration, adding to the feeling of a full, lived-in gathering with the people and pets they love most.
