Joanna and Josh envisioned a multicultural wedding celebration that felt elevated, intimate, and deeply connected to the natural beauty of Bar Harbor. Set against the coastal landscape of Mount Desert Island, their wedding blended woodland textures, refined design details, and meaningful cultural traditions into an experience that felt both personal and beautifully immersive.

Their design approach balanced a whimsical outdoor setting with sophisticated, intentional details. Soft organic florals, moss-inspired textures, parasols, candlelight, custom-built elements, and alfresco dining created an atmosphere that felt relaxed, elegant, and connected to nature. Throughout the celebration, elements of Joanna's Chinese heritage and the couple's shared Jewish traditions were woven thoughtfully into the ceremony and guest experience, honoring family, culture, and connection.

From a cliffside first look overlooking the water to a custom-built chuppah, meadow-inspired escort display, and dinner beneath a clear tent, every detail was designed to feel meaningful without feeling overly formal. The result was a multicultural coastal wedding weekend that embraced Bar Harbor's natural beauty while reflecting the couple's adventurous spirit and layered personal story.
