THE STORY

Matt and Avery met in 2015 at Dickinson College during a cocktail party. From the beginning, there was an easy familiarity that quickly turned into something more. Matt was drawn to Avery’s outgoing and warm presence, while Avery appreciated how open and eager he was to truly get to know her.

Matt’s proposal was a complete surprise during Avery’s birthday weekend in Maine. He planned a full day around their favorite Portland spots, including a beach walk, Portland Head Light, and dinner in the city. He proposed in front of Street and Company, where they had shared an early meaningful dinner with her family, followed by champagne at Via Vecchia and dinner at Fore Street. They returned to her parents’ home to a surprise gathering with friends and family waiting to celebrate.

THE VISION

Matt and Avery were most looking forward to the moment they saw each other at the end of the aisle and to celebrating their marriage surrounded by the people they love most. For Matt, it was about toasting to their future in a place that held deep meaning for both of them, while Avery was most excited for the emotional moment of seeing each other for the first time and sharing an unforgettable day with their closest family and friends.

They wanted guests to remember an incredible night of dancing, laughter, and celebration, paired with classic Maine seafood and an atmosphere that felt both fun and elevated. Their vision included abundant florals, a lively dance floor, and a live band, all layered together to create a luxury experience that still felt warm, joyful, and full of energy from start to finish.
