THE design & experience

Cece and Mitch envisioned a wedding that felt deeply personal, relaxed, and unmistakably their own. Hosted on private family property overlooking the mountains of Western Maine, the celebration combined the intimacy of a family gathering with the scale and logistics of a destination wedding weekend.

Rather than following traditional wedding trends, the couple embraced the character of the property and the activities they enjoy most together. Guests arrived to sweeping mountain views, a custom-built ceremony setting, and a reception designed to feel warm, welcoming, and highly interactive. Natural textures, collected details, vintage vessels, and live trees brought the surrounding landscape into the design while maintaining an elevated, intentional aesthetic.

The experience was built around connection and celebration. A live band, late-night cigar and whiskey bar, custom seating chart installation, and personal touches throughout the property created a wedding weekend that felt authentic to the couple while delivering an unforgettable guest experience from start to finish.

Private property weddings offer unmatched flexibility and personalization, but they also require significantly more planning and infrastructure than a traditional venue. Every guest-facing experience must be thoughtfully created, including site preparation, power distribution, transportation, parking, restroom facilities, catering logistics, rentals, weather contingencies, and event flow.

For Cece and Mitch's wedding, the private farm setting allowed complete creative freedom while showcasing some of Maine's most dramatic mountain views. Building a wedding from the ground up required extensive coordination among vendors, custom installations, rental infrastructure, and guest logistics. The result was a celebration that felt effortless for guests while preserving the natural beauty and character of the property.
